Kris Aquino celebrates her friend Michael Leyva’s victory at the People of the Year 2025.
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino surprised netizens with her first public appearance at the recent People of the Year 2025 awards night.
According to a report by Aubrey Carampel on 24 Oras, Wednesday, February 26, Kris came to the event to personally support her friend fashion designer Michael Leyva.
Kris said that even though she was feeling bad, she forced herself to attend because she wanted to celebrate the victory of her friend whom she now considers family.
“There are people who say that I’ll be there for you or you can count on me. But Michael has proven that so many times and in so many ways,” Kris said in a brief interview with the media.
The Edsa People Power Anniversary also happened to be commemorated during her attendance at the event.
“I said, perfect coming out,” Kris said.
Michael thanked Kris for the latter’s support in recognizing her as one of the People of the Year awardees.
Kris was accompanied by her son Bimby Aquino Yap and his doctors and nurses because she said she was still “not so okay.”
Kris’s attendance at the People of the Year 2025 was her first public appearance since she returned to the country from America where she underwent treatment for her autoimmune disease condition in 2022.
