Wilma Doesnt hints co-stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are already a couple

ABS-CBN News was exclusively invited to visit the set of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s upcoming romantic-comedy movie “My Love Will Make You Disappear.”

And the team caught up with one of KimPau’s co-stars, Wilma Doesnt.

Doesnt plays the role of Aling Nilda, a live online seller who is married to Bruno (Nico Antonio). Nilda has been pushing Bruno to become a “macho dancer” and as neighbors to Chiu’s and Avelino’s characters, Doesnt said her role has a voice in the story but gives tons of comic relief.

When the movie was offered to her, she said: “Yes, immediately, confirmed. When I arrived at the story conference, I was surprised. I asked myself, why am I here? Because it’s all kids. It looks fun, so go for it!”Aside from Doesnt and Antonio, other stars appearing in the movie are Karina Bautista, Migs Almendras, Lovely Abello, Benj Manalo, Martin Escudero, and Bernard Palanca.

We asked Doesnt how it was working with Chiu and Avelino.

“At first I thought Paulo was a jerk, because it was his first date, I assumed he knew me, I’m famous,” she said in jest. “The first day I met him, I thought he was a jerk. Then I thought, because the first day he might be groped.”

“After two shooting days, he was okay. Then I kissed him, because he smelled good. Sorry, Kim!” she added.

As for Chiu, Doesnt said: “He’s fun to work with. He’s also crazy. I think I saw my childhood in him. He’s happy, easygoing. In fairness, you know me. I’ll speak! Dedma in the promo, I’ll really complain if she’s acting rude. But in fairness to him, and to Paulo.”

Surprisingly in the middle of the interview, Doesnt hinted that Chiu and Avelino are already an item.

“They are!” she whispered.

Shocked with her revelation, we asked Doesnt what made her say that.

“At my age, are you going to fool my childhood? No!”

“Body language, you don’t need to speak. Just look at their eyes, that’s it. Hopefully that’s all,” she added.

The team already wrapped up their shooting and they have been busy promoting the film.

Doesnt said: “One thing I can promise the viewers is that it’s a very romantic, kilig to the bones movie. For Gen Z lovers, watch out. If you’re not kilig, you’re Thanos!”

On staying active and relevant
Doesnt has been in the business for close to three decades already, but has remained relevant thanks to the virality of her name and some of her old movie clips.

The actress-entrepreneur admitted that she finds it entertaining when people poke fun at her name when used in headlines or titles.

“Wilma Doesnt share her secret to her business, they say it’s too selfish. Eh di wag, eh di don’t,” she candidly shared. “Tapos ‘yung last name ko pa, Parin. Wilma Doesnt Parin.”

“I’m really, ‘yung grammar natin ajusin nyo no! I wasn’t affected. I’m flattered. They say good or bad publicity will always be publicity,” she said.

Right now, Doesnt is focused and active in her restaurant business. She would occasionally accept showbiz projects, such as the KimPau movie.

“I don’t need stardom stardom, I want longevity. I don’t want a big role, as long as the role is good, I’ll grab it. Back then, I still had the mindset that because I’m a single mother, no matter what job I do, I’ll take it. I never complain, on time, I don’t have a cutoff,” she said.

As for her piece of advice to young stars today, she said: “I think ‘yun ang maipapayo ko sa mga bata, be professional and learn to be a good person. Do good while you are young.”

“My Love Will Make You Disappear” will hit cinemas exclusively on March 26, and will premiere in North America on March 28.

Fans were extremely surprised when the news that Wilma would no longer represent Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino was officially confirmed. This sparked a lot of speculation about the relationship between the veteran manager and the two famous stars.

According to inside sources, this change was not a random decision. Many people questioned whether there were any conflicts or disagreements behind the scenes that made Kim and Paulo decide to find a new direction. Although the three have not officially spoken out about the real reason, this move has caused netizens to discuss heatedly.

Is this a sign of an amicable “breakup”? And what will happen next in Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s careers without Wilma? Let’s wait and see what happens next in this dramatic story!
