Shaina Magdayao is thankful for the support she receives from Coco Martin

Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao said that actor-director Coco Martin is her secret manager and here is the reason why she said that.

Shaina and Coco had the chance to work together for a long period in the defunct Kapamilya series Ang Probinsyano. They have a recent project together and this is the movie Apag which is one of the official entries in the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival 2023.

In a recent press conference for the movie, based on the article in Bandera, Shaina mentioned that she was able to be part of the said movie because she and Coco worked together in Ang Probinsyano.

They also did several shows together in the past. She was supposed to appear for two weeks only in FPJAP. However, this was extended to two years.

The actress shared that in the said Kapamilya series, Coco is not just their director. He also fulfilled the role of their location manager, producer, and casting director. With this Shaina Magdayao said that she admires how Coco Martin was able to do these tasks and still can concentrate on his acting.

“Secret manager ko po kasi ‘to. Siguro dahil sa friendship din po namin, ‘yung tiwala ko po sa kanya at ‘yun nga po, sa mabuting pagkakaibigan namin kaya alam kong hindi naman niya po ako ipapahamak,” the actress added.

She also said that she trusts Coco when he would say that the role or project is good and she would do it. The actress stressed that the actor-director has not failed her.

Apag is directed by Brillante Mendoza who also directed Coco Martin’s first indie film Masahista.
