Klopp has been made a top target for an incredible job
Jurgen Klopp has been made a ‘top target’ for one of the biggest jobs in football, with their sporting director admitting he is their dream manager.
Whilst near every club and country alike would be interested in Klopp when he decides he wants to return from his break from football, it’s rare for sporting directors to come out and be so clear in their interest.
What makes things even more interesting is that the job in question isn’t even currently vacant.
Rudi Voller, the sporting director for the German national team, came out this weekend to express his admiration of the former Liverpool man.
Julian Nagelsmann, the former Bayern Munich, Leipzig, and Hoffenheim manager, is currently the German manager.
Whilst he has the role until the 2026 World Cup, no announcement has been made at the time of writing about extending his contract beyond this time.
Voller opened up though about the fact that, if Nagelsman were to leave the role, Klopp would be top of the list.
He told ZDF’s Aktuelle Sportstudio: “Julian now has a reputation in Germany and across Europe for coaching top clubs.
“He earned that at a young age. And he will decide for himself what’s best for him.

“Whether he wants to remain national team coach beyond the World Cup – or whether he wants to coach a top club again.
“Klopp? I don’t even know what Jürgen wants to do. But if Julian Nagelsmann were to decide at some point that he would rather coach a top club in Europe or Germany again – of course, there’s no way around Jürgen Klopp if he wants to.”
Last time Klopp was asked about the Germany job he stated he ‘cannot’ take the job, clarifying that was due to his commitment to Liverpool.
He said: “I didn’t say that I didn’t WANT to become a national coach, but that I CANNOT,. “That’s a huge difference.
“There is a very clear commitment. I have an important role here at Liverpool.
“This is my sixth year at Liverpool, and I’ve built an incredible relationship here with people I work with on a daily basis.
“We rely on each other.”
With Klopp having now left Liverpool, who knows if this could change in the near future.
