Heart Evangelista was walked down the aisle by her mom, Cecile Ongpauco, on her renewal of wedding vows with Senator Chiz Escudero.
As seen in an Instagram Story shared by fashion designer Michael Leyva, Cecile and Heart couldn’t help but tear up as they approached the end of the aisle.
The mother and daughter also embraced each other.
“Such a very touching moment,” Michael wrote in the video.
According to PEP.ph, Heart’s dad Rey did not make it to the event as he is currently in the United States for medical treatment.
Heart’s parents did not attend her first wedding to Chiz in 2015, making this year’s ceremony extra emotional for the Global Fashion Icon.
Heart and Chiz held their renewal of vows at Balesin Island, the same place they tied the knot nine years ago.
The Kapuso actress looked like an ethereal bride in a custom Elie Saab piece with intricate beading and a veil.
