Seasoned TV host Boy Abunda couldn’t hide his sadness and disappointment at the news that one of Pia Wurtzbach ‘s security personnel allegedly cheated  on National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee .

According to what he narrated on his show Fast Talk With Boy Abunda today, September 20, it allegedly happened on September 14 during the opening day of the Manila International Book Fair at the SMX Convention Center.

Sir Ricky was at the book fair that day for the book signing of his books. It was also Pia’s launching day for her book Queen of the Universe .

The National Artist and the Miss Universe 2015 winner were even together at the ribbon cutting before the incident that made her sad happened.

” Something happened at the Manila International Book Fair, September 14, where the story is long . I spoke to the publisher Mark Yambot, Pia ‘s publisher . Something bad happened ,” said Tito Boy.

” I’ll just be there at the end. Because it came from the ribbon cutting with Pia and Ricky were both… like guests of honor. Then after the ribbon cutting, it launched. After the launch , they went to their respective places, ” he said.

It is said that following this, the security personnel “disguised” Sir Ricky.

“And Pia I think was making her way to the stage. Then [the reporter] called him Sir Ricky, Sir Ricky…’ That’s when the blocking happened… There were even words that the National Artist was ‘kicked out’, ‘kicked out’. And this is really sad,” said Tito Boy.

It can be seen in the video uploaded by ABS-CBN News that Pia’s team passed by the hallway where Sir Ricky was standing.

Pia shook his hand but it seemed that the security passed between them without warning, causing them to shake hands.

The King of Talk is among the many netizens who reacted because Sir Ricky did not deserve what he did here.

“I felt bad for Ricky. Take away the National Artist title, take away anything, Ricky is one of the most beautiful people I’ve met in my life. He doesn’t like to call attention to this,” dismayadong pahayag ni Tito Boy.

It is a good thing that the Pinay beauty queen apologized to Sir Ricky even though the incident was not his fault.

” But the good thing about this, our news, is that Pia reached out , even if it was not Pia’s fault, to apologize, to say sorry that this happened. So, it has been fixed ,” he continued.

After this, Tito Boy gave a reminder of what happened.

” It’s a lesson for us because it’s important that we treat the, well, number one, seniors. Number two, this was a book fair. This was a cultural event,” he said.

“Actually, there is a law, eh, on how National Artists are treated. But I’d like to pay tribute to Ricky for remaining such a humble person. You are what we should all emulate. I bow to you,” he messaged his friend.

He said he tried to get Pia’s side about this issue but they were not able to talk. It is said to be in Italy right now for the Milan Fashion Week.

“I tried to get in touch with Pia. We didn’t just talk today just before the beginning of the show. Pia said , ‘Tito Boy, I’ll just run. I’m doing my first show,’” he shared.

“Nasa Fashion Week ngayon si Pia Wurtzbach sa Milan. But, Pia, thank you for your text [message]. Thank you for picking up the phone. And we learned our lesson,” pagtatapos n’ya.
