Kris Aquino is still recovering amid the spread of fake news in several chat groups.
This was clarified by Kris’s close friend and former entertainment editor Dindo Balares.
On his Facebook yesterday, December 22, 2024, Dindo talked about those who ask him questions in chat group discussions.
He began his post by saying, ” Kris Aquino and I had just finished chatting last Sunday when our publicist friend came over to chat.
“‘Brother, is it true? I hope not,’ he messaged me.
“‘Which one?’ I asked.
“‘Someone is saying that Kris Aquino is no longer here. I hope it’s not true.’
“‘Where is it from?’
“‘Someone just said it in a chat group.’
“‘I just talked to you an hour ago.’
“‘Thank you. Hope she’s well and happy. I’ll just continue to pray for her.’
“‘Thank you, ______!’ (I deliberately didn’t mention names so no one would bother him about who was in his chat group, he-he….)”

After this, another friend of Dindo’s also asked about the spreading news.
He said, “This morning, a writer and fellow former editor who is also close to Krisy contacted me.
“‘Any update about Kris?’ aniya.
“‘Still recovering. Thank you very much, ____! I will pass on your regards to him.’
“‘Something is spreading. I’m always praying for her.’
“‘Yes, it is. It’s difficult, but prayers are a big help, ____. I’m sure he’ll be happy that you haven’t forgotten him.'”
Dindo’s message to Kris’ followers: don’t just believe what appears on social media.
He said, “For Krisy’s followers, be doubly careful with fake news and misinformation. Don’t believe it unless it comes from her family or reliable sources.”
“He continues to receive treatment and is getting stronger. In fact, food is our most frequent topic right now.”
