Paolo Contis confirms “single” status amid breakup speculations with Yen Santos

Actor Paolo Contis confirmed that he is “single,” addressing months of speculation surrounding his rumored split from actress Yen Santos.

Appearing on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ Paolo was asked by host Boy Abunda if he was “single or taken.” In response, Paolo answered simply, “Single,” without providing additional details.

This revelation comes nearly a year after Paolo confirmed his relationship with Yen in January 2023, following months of rumors and sightings of the couple together. Notably, the two were seen in Baguio in 2021, sparking initial speculation before Paolo eventually acknowledged their relationship on the same talk show.

Breakup rumors began circulating in May 2024 when Yen deleted her birthday greeting for Paolo on Instagram and unfollowed all accounts, which fans quickly noted. Paolo, who was still following Yen at the time, also unfollowed her shortly afterward, fueling further curiosity among fans.

When initially asked about the breakup rumors in May, Paolo responded with a brief “No comment” at the premiere of his movie ‘Fuchsia Libre.’ Later, in an interview with ’24 Oras’ Aubrey Carampel, he expressed a desire to keep his personal life private. “I unfollowed everyone; it doesn’t necessarily mean anything dramatic,” he remarked humorously.
