Kris Aquino slams James Yap for “going gay” comment on son Bimby
Kris Aquino to ex-husband James Yap: “Just do not bother my son, do not mention my son, let’s all be peaceful.”
For the first time, Kris Aquino has spoken out about why her son Bimby Aquino-Yap no longer wants to communicate with his father James Yap.

In Kris’ exclusive and live interview with Cristy Fermin on Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM’s Cristy Ferminute program this afternoon, June 7, Kris recounted all the things that led to why she and James wanted to finally end their relationship. IMAGE Arniel Serato

This meeting between Kris and Cristy also served as a reunion for them, because they had been together for several years on ABS-CBN’s The Buzz program before. In the interview, Kris clarified several questions about why her relationship with James deteriorated again after reaching an agreement on custody of Bimby, and why her youngest son completely refuses to communicate with his father.

It will be recalled that Kris was very angry about the interview with James in August 2017, where he said that he missed his son Bimby because he felt it was difficult to squeeze himself into his son.

Kris was also angry about James’s greetings to his son that he posted on social media on his last birthday.

The term Kris used here was “lost it” when she read the interview and James’ post.

The 47-year-old TV host/actress/celebrity influencer stated, “When you make zero effort to personally have a relationship with your child, you have no right to post about that child.

“And zero naman talaga, e. Hindi ko pinagkait, e. And you know, I don’t want to prolong it because… no, actually I want to.”

“SHOUTING.” Following this, Kris became very serious in sharing the story where James allegedly yelled at their son Bimby.

This is said to have happened when Bimby won Most Popular Child Performer at the 46th Guillermo Mendoza Box-Office in June 2015 for the movie Praybeyt Benjamin, starring Vice Ganda.

He said, “You shouted at my son, I have witnesses, because this is the story… so that at least everyone can understand.

“This is what he did to block screening [of the movie] and Bimb won the Guillermo and then I wrote the speech on how to thank you and I included his father.

“Then I said, ‘Let’s do something so we don’t have to say anything to ourselves.’

“Sometimes like that, right? So that we don’t have to say anything to you.

“And then when they were talking and thanking him, it was on speaker phone.

“So, Gerbel [Luntayao-Langha] heard it and Alvin [Gagui] heard it, so they ran.”

Gerbel was the former nanny of brothers Bimby and Joshua, while Alvin was Kris’ right-hand man.

Kris continued, “I was shooting at that time. I was worried about BF [Homes, Parañaque] at JC de Vera’s hamburger place.

“So, the kid just answered and take note at this point, Bimb is seven, right? Praybeyt Benjamin to, eh.

“Okay, so seven years old. The kid answered, ‘You shouldn’t be thanking me, you should thank mama because she was the one who told me to say thank you to you.’

“And then he was told that he had no respect.

“That’s why they told him and taught him to thank me.

“Well, the kid replied, ‘Because if I had my way, I wouldn’t say thank you to you because you cheated on my mom.’

“Straight up. Well, seven years old, Mom,” Kris continued to tell Cristy, using the usual call to the veteran showbiz columnist and radio commentator.

“So it went beyond that because, in all fairness to Mic [Michela Cazzola, James’s partner], she reached out.

“And she was good to the kids. Okay, so I, I felt, ‘Why not,’ what [be civil].”

“HE MADE THE MOLD FIRST.” Kris continued, saying that Bimby can’t really be forced to forgive his father.

Kris continued, “I said, ‘Nothing will be lost if…’ but you can’t really force him, huh.

“Because this is the problem. There’s YouTube. There’s YouTube where you can watch the man, your father, slandering your mother.

“And I think you know this because you have sons [Nay Cristy]… they will do anything to defend their mother.

“Well, unfortunately, the child, always has an iPad, so all of his father’s interviews, he watched and everything that happened in the past, including the hurtful things his mother, his father, his grandmother said.

So, you know, Mom, as far as the child is concerned, he doesn’t want to. And the other one, he didn’t really try either. He just tried, the last time was New Year’s Eve 2017.”

James has also told this story before that when New Year’s Eve 2017 was coming, they were supposed to bond but they got sick and Bimby’s temperature hit 40.

He was rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center but there he had another problem.

Kris nodded, “I’m sorry, ha. I’m sorry if you call this shallow, but he got better first.

“The guards and driver and nanny rushed Bimby and then he got dressed before taking him to the ER.

“The child’s temperature hit 40 because he had gastroenteritis and you know he could dehydrate.”

At that time, Kris was also sick and felt like her head was going to explode because of a severe migraine.

Kris continued, “So, after that incident, Bimb—who reported it to me—said that he was just allowed to go first and not accompanied.

“I said, ‘That’s it.’

“Okay, and I said, I tried. I don’t think you can criticize me for not trying.”

“HE WILL BE GAYS.” Following this, Kris also shared that she can’t really force her son to make decisions because he already has his own thoughts.

She added, “You know, he is so outspoken, that’s why I edited a lot, Mom. If you only knew what KCAP [Kris Cojuangco Aquino Productions] edited out of what came out of his mouth because of our vlogs.

“And I’m sorry, I’m sorry, the child was the one who spoke, I was shocked.”

Here, Kris has already revealed her extreme disappointment with her ex-husband because he allegedly told Bimby that he would be gay.

She said, “Since it’s LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender] pride month, he accused my child of being gay in court because everyone around me was gay.

“That was during the custody [hearing].

“So, it was shocking because the child was six years old at the time and he said, ‘Why is he judging me and what does he have against gay people?’

“So, the message was very clear. So, that’s where I lost my mind, as any mother would lose my mind.

“And unfortunately… and I’m not allowed to talk more about it because it’s settled and it’s over. But this is the last thing I’m going to say, parenting is also sharing.

“You don’t have to give us—or not us—you don’t have to give Bimb a big amount. But for the amount you got, did you give socks to the child?

“So, excuse me, ha. Sorry, we’ll get all the stink out now.

“Because until now, those who witnessed that are still laughing.

“’After the birthday… the last gift though was a Louis Vuitton backpack… 2016.

“April 2016 birthday. Because, right, he campaigned for Mar [Roxas]? Well, he paid for it, huh. So I guess at least, he bought it, thank you.

“So, there. That was the last. And under the compromise agreement, if I want to make a mess… it says there should be 50-50 for education, huh…”

But, he doesn’t give.

Kris also said the reason, “Because I didn’t consult where to go to school.

“Okay. It’s dead. As I said—and I would repeat this—God has blessed us tremendously.

“And the kid, the boy, Bimb, is turning out into a good kid…

“And this is him, he knows the importance of fidelity.

“I think that’s the takeaway here. Because he saw what his mother went through when she was pregnant.

“And this is now, ah. And I can say this now with no plasticity because you know me, I wish them well, I wish them happiness, because I don’t want them to bother us.

“That’s it. Just don’t bother my son, don’t mention my son, let’s all be peaceful.”

Kris also hinted that James got PHP40 million from their divorce.
