Following Gary V’s Concert Cut Midway, Kiana Valenciano Defends Dad over Refund Demands

KIANA VALENCIANO – The daughter of Gary V. reacted to some fans’ demand for a refund following her father’s concert cut midway.

Countless people looked forward to the Pure Energy: One More Time concert of the one and only Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano. It was set last December 20 and many Filipinos really did book a ticket ahead to make sure they get to watch the much-awaited performances of the singer on stage.

However, on the day of his concert, unexpected situations took place. Gary V. was not in the best state of health but he really tried his best to push through with the concert. He sang nine songs before he asked the audience if the concert can be cut short due to health reasons.

Gary V. vomited many times before his concert and there was a team of doctors on stand-by at the back stage when he really tried to perform on stage. His constant vomiting has also led to dehydration.

Angeli Pangilinan, the ever-supportive wife of Gary, was also there on alert mode as her husband tries his best to perform well on stage. The couple have three (3) children, Paolo, Gab, and Kiana Valenciano.

Recently, on TikTok, Kiana Valenciano took a heartfelt message expressing the pursuit of her father as well as the significance of his concert that is far beyond mere entertainment.

“Some may say it was a waste of time, effort, and money. But what many fail to realize is that night was one of a kind—there will never be another like it. The audience that night saw my dad the way I see him at the kitchen table when he hasn’t had enough rest for weeks. They received the pep talk he’s given me when I’ve been at my lowest. They witnessed him lean on my mom when he realized he couldn’t do it on his own,” Kiana, also a singer, wrote.

According to Gary V’s, it is a failure if you just came to be entertained at the concert of the singer. She stressed that her father is not merely performing to entertain but to inspire as well. However, in one of the comments, a netizen slammed the heartfelt message of the singer for her father.

“Ok, enough of the drama. REFUND,” the netizen wrote.

Kiana Valenciano responded to the comment of the netizen demanding for a refund. She reminded the netizen that she’s not paid and the netizen must reach out to the team of her father for the refund.

“You know what, it’s fine to want a refund. That’s totally understandable. But the manner in which some are so demanding and demeaning… is what’s not okay,” the daughter of Gary V. wrote.
