This was what Fyang Smith exclaimed in her speech after being hailed as the Big Winner of “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” during the The Final Stage at the Big Night held on Saturday, October 27, at the ABS-CBN compound.
Her being unapologetically true to herself and being straightforward to others are, apparently, just some of her qualities that made “Ang Amakabogerang Influencer ng Mandaluyong” the most deserving Big Winner for her throngs of fans. She bested her fellow housemates in the Big 4 by raking in the highest percentage of votes, which was 30.66%, and bagged the whopping P1 million cash prize and a brand-new house and lot.
Her runner-up, Rain Celmar, earned 26.05% of the total votes and received a P500,000 cash prize. Kolette, who got 25.91% of the total votes, was named the 3rd Big Placer and took home a P300,000 cash prize, while Kai Montinola was the 4th Big Placer after getting the least percentage of votes (17.38%). Aside from the P200,000 cash prize, she received a couple of special awards, too.
Aside from the aforementioned prizes, each of the housemates also received a travel package to South Korea that includes a two-way trip for two with free accommodation and meals, as well as a three-month contract worth 400,000 each as ambassadors of the affiliate program of an e-commerce platform.
The “PBB Gen 11 Big Night” commenced with an exhilarating opening number featuring former PBB housemates from the previous seasons and the freshly concluded Gen 11 season that took place at the Studio 11 and Dolphy Theater. It was succeeded by the introduction of the hosts, a.k.a. “Ang Pamilya ni Kuya,” comprised of Alexa Ilacad, Enchong Dee, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, Kim Chiu, Robi Domingo, and Bianca Gonzalez, who were all dressed to the nines.
Supporters of the Big 4 at the said venues and in Cebu, Pangasinan, and General Santos City, who fervently expressed their love and support for them, were shown, too, as the four awesome young women made their entrance at the Studio 8 in their fabulous gowns. Kai was ravishing in a shimmering red halter ensemble, Kolette looked so lovely in her fuchsia pink off-shoulder gown, Rain was so gorgeous in her strapless emerald green number, while Fyang made the whole place shimmer in her sparkling violet dress.
They were subsequently asked by Bianca to describe their PBB stint one-by-one, with Fyang saying that it was “genuine,” while it was “remarkable” for Kai, “success” for Kolette, and “amazing” for Rain. We also got to reminisce on the highlights of their respective journeys inside the house through the montages that featured their heartfelt letters to Kuya. In return, they received a touching message from him as well, through which he expressed his love and pride for them and his reminders for them as they step out of the outside world and face a brand-new chapter in their lives.
As the casting of votes officially closed, “PBB Teen Clash of 2010” Big Winner James Reid took the stage to serenade everyone with his all-time favorite hit “Randomantic,” much to the kilig of the spectators and the Big 4 alike. He also imparted his own Big Night experience 14 years ago and his advice for the four girls during his brief chat with hosts Bianca, Kim, and Robi afterwards.
“I think, you can never go wrong with just being yourself. Being yourself is what got you this far, and being yourself is what’s gonna make you happy. So, just keep doing that; be yourself. And I remember the biggest thing I learned from Big Brother was to dream big,” he said.
PBB alumni Bailey May, Seth Fedelin, Joshua Garcia, and Maymay Entrata were called in to hand in to the hosts the envelopes containing the results of the public voting. In the end, it was Fyang who was proclaimed the Big Winner, with Rain as the 2nd Big Placer, Kolette as the 3rd Placer, and Kai as the 4th Big Placer.
“I just wanna thank each and everyone of you, guys, who [has been] supporting me since Day 1. And also, I just wanna thank [the] Lord,” Fyang stated, still in utter disbelief of what just had transpired.
She also gave a special shout-out to her closest friends, JM, Jarren Garcia, Dingdong Bahan, and Patrick Ramirez, whom she considered her strong support system inside the house and expressed her love for them.”
The “The Final Stage at the Big Night” concluded with the hosts delivering their closing spiels and everyone onstage celebrating another successful edition of PBB.
