She recounted how tough it was growing up, especially financially. They were not always sure if they could attend school. But their mother never failed to give them a little treat. Every Sunday, they would have a small feast with some lechon manok at a local park where they could swim nonstop.

Now, her mother is still a source of strength, aside from her siblings. As glamourous as her life seems on social media, there have been many moments when she wanted to give up. “Kasi dapat laging okay, laging masaya, laging walang problema, dapat laging maganda. Minsan, hindi,” Kim said in tears.

Twelve years into show business, she is simply enjoying all the opportunities that come her way. “Nabibigyan ako ng chance to do these things na hindi ko alam kaya kong gawin,” she admitted. There are just moments when the universe would throw a curve ball at you to make you appreciate the good things even more.

The industry may be filled with competition, but Kim sees it all as just people trying to reach their own goals. “Nandito lang ako to improve my skill, to be thankful na binibigyan ako ng mga projects,” she stated. Everyone will have their moment in the spotlight and she is okay if it is not her turn. Thinking that this is a competition will never be healthy. “Madali kang masaktan kasi kahit kailan hindi ikaw magiging siya,” the actress advised.
