Fans have created an insane team.

FPL fans on social media think they may have created the perfect wildcard draft ahead of the Premier League’s return this weekend.

The first international break of the 2024/25 season is now over and fans are already excited for the return of club football this weekend.

Of course, with the return of club football, comes the return of Fantasy Premier League and managers are already itching to make changes to their teams.

But ahead of the FPL gameweek four deadline, fans on social media believe they may have created the best possible wildcard team for the upcoming matches.

The wildcard ‘chip’ in FPL allows a manager to make unlimited changes to their team ahead of the gameweek deadline, meaning they can set up their teams however they like.

Many FPL managers have decided to use their wildcard ahead of gameweek four, and fans are saying that one team, shared on social media platform X by @FPLThorpey, may be the perfect draft.

The team starts strong with both Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah, the two highest scoring players so far, in the lineup.

Despite having the two most expensive players in the game included in the team, the squad still includes four other penalty takers and several in form players with favourable upcoming fixtures.

Coming off the back of a brace against long-term rivals Manchester United, Liverpool winger Luis Diaz makes the team in midfield, alongside Eberechi Eze, Antoine Semenyo and breakout youngster Morgan Rogers.

Partnering Haaland up front, is Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brighton’s Joao Pedro, who is one of the most transferred in players ahed of the weekend.

Additionally, the team boasts an impressive defence, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, William Saliba and Rico Lewis all providing access to the three best defensive teams in the league.

Ukrainian fullback Vitalii Mykolneko and Ipswich Town centre back Jacob Greaves complete the defence as budget options.

While FPL teams often choose to include just one playing goalkeeper, this draft also allows managers to rotate Brighton keeper Bart Verburggen with Brentford’s Mark Flekken to ensure their man at the back always has a favourable fixture.
