We’ve finally reached this point, ladies and gentlemen. Heart Evangelista is done with all the shady allegations that pit her and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach against each other. Heart has broken her silence.

“Let’s talk about the big elephant in the room,” the fashion icon remarked in a video uploaded on Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s Instagram page, Tuesday noon. Heart was speaking to the press in line with the announcement of her upcoming reality show, Heart World.

It was a question that everyone was dying to ask Heart. After several months of heated gossip in their every post, every IG story, and every fashion content, Heart finally expressed her reaction to her alleged feud with Pia.

“Once and for all, woman to woman—I never had a problem with Pia,” she began. Heart noted that she has always been supportive of Pia from the start. She also said how she believed that Pia had also been supportive of her in the past—but it was the people whom Pia chose that triggered the drama between them.

“In fact, I was one of those who cheered for her in the past. And I’d like to think that it was the same for her. She was so sweet enough to even use and post the hashtag #HeartMade and at the time I was so touched,” she recalled.

Then, Heart openly declared, “But it’s the people that she chose to surround herself with for specific reasons that make this whole thing problematic.” ICYDK, Pia is now with Heart’s former glam team, with whom the latter had a controversial fallout in 2023.

Asked if Heart has any message for the beauty queen turned fashion star, slightly turning emotional, Heart congratulated Pia and wished her all the best. “So, if I have a message to Pia it would be: ‘Congratulations. You have what you needed. I wish you nothing but the best and good luck. Sana, sana hindi mangyari sa’yo ‘yung nangyari sa’kin.’ ‘Yun lang siguro ‘yung gusto kong sabihin,” the fashion icon voiced out.

“Pia never ever stole any contacts or whatever. Especially us, her glam team. We are only glam team and we are not acquainted nor close to any PR officers (of fashion houses). Also Pia is Pia! She has walked the runway in New York when she was Miss Universe. She already attended a lot of fashion shows in New York way back [in] 2015,” Justin said in an IG comment uploaded on October 12.

In a succeeding comment, he continued to stand by Pia, clarifying Jeremy’s old post about them not having any contact with the fashion industry. Justin wrote in response to a user, “Jeremy knows them already. In fact, he is friends with them. He didn’t know that one day these people could actually help Pia. Imagine that! Everything unfolded because they wanted to help. Just because Jeremy captioned that doesn’t mean they really don’t have that much connection in fashion.”

The said post was Jeremy’s congratulatory caption in 2023 read, “You told me you wanted to break into European fashion—but we had no network, no opportunities and no credibility. I’ve been with you as you worked every angle, took every meeting, trusted many who promised so much and delivered so little. Setback after setback on a journey that only we knew about. But quietly, under the radar, you grinded. And grinded. And grinded. And despite even as early as this year [of] being told you’d never make it to fashion weeks and your best years were behind you, you did. And you delivered. To a level even we didn’t hope for in our wildest dreams.”

Heart Evangelista and Pia Wurtzbach’s viral feud

Evidently, much has already been said about the two ladies. But if you need a little background, tension between the two celebrities seems to have sparked when Pia made her fashion week debut in Milan last September 2023. It was also at the time that she revealed that her makeup and hair stylists were Justin Soriano and Jeck Aguilar, respectively. Up until now, the two are with Pia as her glam team for all her fashion week stints and Pia has been mum about the rumors.

It was this 2024 when the tension between Heart and Pia intensified, with online users speculating that Pia has exceeded Heart when it comes to fashion week appearances. In March 2024, Pia herself started calling out the Internet for explicitly spreading hate comments over on her Instagram page. “Hey everyone! I’ve been seeing all these nasty comments, below the belt name calling, and accusations aimed towards others. I think we all need to be reminded that this bickering, pitting women against each other, and pointing fingers isn’t right,” she wrote.

Earlier in 2023, Heart parted ways with the aforementioned glam team and has been very secretive yet emotional over their fallout. But there are moments when Heart would speak about her emotions about old friends who had become strangers.

“Whenever I get problems, like personal problems, I couldn’t even be in a bad mood because they would make me feel like I’m so toxic. So ngayon, I try to be happy even if I have my own problems. I try not to be selfish but sometimes, I’m only human, and I’m really tired,” Heart said before breaking into tears during her January 2024 vlog.
