If there’s one thing KC Concepcion wants to happen in her life right now, it’s for her relationship to improve and for her to be friends with her mother, Sharon Cuneta , again .

This is in the midst of a conflict between mother and son, which also involves KC’s stepfather, Kiko Pangilinan , and half-sister, Frankie Pangilinan .

KC is Sharon’s only child from her first husband, Gabby Concepcion .

In KC’s interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast on September 9, 2023, he was asked about his personal decisions in life.

The GMA Integrated News entertainment reporter asked KC if there are any parts of her life she would change if she had the power to change them.

KC’s quick and laughable answer was, “Wow, big question!”

At this point, KC became serious, saying that all she wanted was for her relationship with Sharon to go back to the way it was before.

Saad niya, “Of course, there are. You know, I really would like for my mom and I to be best friends again.

“There’s a lot of years that have gone by na, you know, siyempre may mga destructions kami and I know later on in life, we will be better than ever.”

KC also emphasized that even if she and her mother fight, her love for her will never change.

He also hopes that the time will come when they can resolve their differences.

He said, “Our love for each other will never fade.

“And maybe, one day, when I get married and have children, I think that would bring my mom and I closer than ever.”

KC also sent a message to her mother.

He said, “I want her to know that I love her very much and I am loyal to her.

“That’s right. She’s my mother! [I’m the first Sharonian], her blood, my blood.”

KC added, “If my grandmother was taken care of by my mother and I, what more could she be?

“That’s all I have.”

What KC refers to as “lola” is her late maternal grandmother, Elaine Cuneta.

Talk of a brewing conflict in KC’s family first surfaced on August 29, 2023.

This was after he unfollowed Kiko and Frankie on Instagram.

The next day, August 29, KC herself confirmed that she had indeed unfollowed her stepdad and half-sister on Instagram.
