After malicious rumors started circulating last month that her husband Dingdong Dantes had gotten a young actress pregnant, Marian Rivera said she was never bothered by it and just laughed off the issue.
“Ay hindi dyuskoday (laughs). Natatawa nga kami ni Dong. Sabi ko, ‘Talagang ngayon pang lockdown na nakasama kita ng buong buwan ha.’ Well lahat naman ng artista posible naman na machismis. Hindi naman mawawalan ng chismis ang pagiging artista. Hayaan mo na lang. Ang mahalaga naman alam niyong dalawa kung anong meron kayo. Deadma lang ako. Basta nag-aasaran lang kaming dalawa tapos sabi niya, ‘O nakita mo ba yung chismis sa akin? Sabi ko, ‘Oo nakakatawa.’ Tawang tawa talaga ako. Niloloko ko siya, ‘Ano ba yan, ang dami pang buntis buntis, beke naman ako na yung susunod diyan?’ (laughs) Sabi kong ganun sa kanya. So tawa siya ng tawa. As in nakakatawa lang,” she shared during the Waltermart media launch held last February 9.
The Waltermart celebrity ambassador, who was joined by her daughter Zia in the brand’s latest commercial, is not new to showbiz intrigues. She said she won’t allow herself to be stressed by unfounded rumors.
“Hindi pa ba ako masasanay? Nakita mo nga inuunahan nila ako, ako naman ang buntis ngayon (laughs). Magkalaman ka lang ng konti buntis agad di ba? O di ako na. Bilang artista dapat nasasanay ka na sa ganyan at dapat inaalam mo na kung ano yung mga pakikinggan at hindi mo pakikinggan. Kung nakaka-stress at hindi naman maganda para sa iyo, dyuskoday tawanan mo na lang. Pero hindi ako na-stress. Natawa lang talaga ako.?
The only rumor Marian said she welcomes is that she and her family are expecting baby number three this year. “Ayan yata ang balitang hindi nakaka-stress (laughs)! Kahit naman anong gawin niyo kung hindi naman ibibigay sa inyo wala naman kayong magagawa. Pero pag sinabi na it’s time na ibigay sa iyo then why not hindi ba? Pero sa ngayon ay ang daming pagkakataon na puwede pa namin gawin. Ang dami ko pang trabahong kailangan gawin. Si Sixto wala pang two years old so hihintayin ko muna yun. Tapos si Zia sobrang busy pa namin sa school. Pero kung ibibigay, bakit hindi, hindi ba? Yan ay napakalaking biyaya,” she admits.
