Paolo Contis shared his thoughts regarding the Eat Bulaga issue

Kapuso actor Paolo Contis has this reaction to the decision of the court in favor of the iconic TVJ trio regarding the right to use the Eat Bulaga trademark.

Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, together with the legit Dabarkads, celebrated as the court released the decision that the Eat Bulaga trademark belongs to them. With this, they started using the title of the show that the Henyo Master created.

Following that court’s decision, the Kapuso noontime show, which was formerly using the Eat Bulaga title, changed to Tahanang Pinakamasaya.

Based on the article in PEP, the hosts of the Kapuso show and TAPE Inc. were urged to speak about the court’s decision. They had to change their title and based on the theme song they chose Tahanang Pinakamasaya.

Paolo Contis said that their new title is appropriate because they just want to make their audience happy and extend help. He said that all they want is that no matter what happens, they will continue to provide happiness.

When asked how “tensyonado” they were when the court’s decision was released, the actor-host shared in a text message, “Medyo tensyonado pero masaya. High spirits lahat.“

Previously, TAPE’s legal counsel Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque said that they were surprised by the decision of the court. Initially, they weren’t able to receive the decision and they only knew about this when TVJ announced it.

Paolo also said that even though they were surprised by the decision, they had to follow it. “Nabigla din kami sa desisyon. Pero we had to follow and prepare agad sa maiksing oras na meron kami,” he said.

Despite the decision, it was said that no advertisers pulled out and that they had a commercial load that reached  30 minutes.
