Meghan Markle showed signs of “shyness” as she appeared at a glitzy gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, it has been claimed.

Meghan Markle appeared to show her true colours during a solo outing at a glitzy LA gala on Saturday, it has been claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex stepped out to attend the LA Children’s Hospital gala on October 5 – whilst her husband Prince Harry embarked on a visit to South Africa.

With Meghan stepping out on her own, a body language expert has said that she appeared unlike her typical confident self – instead displaying signs of “shyness”.

Speaking to GB News, Judi James explained how Meghan took to her latest solo appearance without Harry by her side.

The 42-year-old, who is mother to five-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet, was joined by Kelly McKee Zajfen – the co-founder of Alliance of Moms. According to Judi, Meghan looked “grateful” to have with her on the red carpet.

Although Meghan looked happy to be in attendance, Ms James added that the 43-year-old did show signs of “coyness and even shyness”.

She said: “The body language ritual that she followed seemed to be a deliberate signalling of her current state, as Harry is off on his solo tour.

“Meghan performed signals of coyness and even shyness, plus a subliminal desire to have someone take over the lead from Harry.”

The body language expert added: “It was as though she was somehow lost without him on the red carpet or wanted to suggest she is feeling more vulnerable and girlishly playful than usual.”

Meghan also sparked a fashion fan frenzy after sporting a recycled £4,595 ($5,990) red Carolina Herrera dress to the event on Saturday.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan commented: “She looks young, beautiful and healthy. Her hair is lovely [pink-heart emoji].”

Another, noticing that it was the same dress she wore in 2021, wrote: “The way [Duchess] Meghan bought this red gown back but in such a simple but elegant way and then changed up her hair like she is that girl.”
