In early 2024, the most powerful couple on the Philippine screen, Marian Rivera – Dingdong Dantes, had a surprising reunion. The movie called Rewind excited the audience when the couple had the opportunity to play husband and wife again on screen. In it, Marian played the role of wife Mary recalling the ups and downs of her life with her husband John – the character played by Dingdong.

Rewind was warmly received by the audience, grossing 600 million pesos (more than 262 billion VND) and was one of the highest-grossing movies of the year. This was also a rare time that Marian Rivera acted in a movie with her husband after getting married and limiting her showbiz activities to spend time with her family.

Previously, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes had acted together in 13 movies, including supporting or cameo roles.
