Following its historic simulcast airing on GMA Network on Saturday, April 6, the flagship Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ continued to dominate the midday programming slot.
According to the latest rating reports from the Nielsen NUTAM people survey, ‘It’s Showtime’ maintains a solid lead in the noontime race, with ‘EAT…Bulaga’ trailing quite far behind.
During its debut on GMA Network, ‘It’s Showtime’ achieved a record-setting rating of 9.6 percent on Saturday, April 6, surpassing ‘EAT…Bulaga’ by a significant margin of 5.2 percent, which garnered 4.4 percent.
On the following Monday, April 7, the Kapamilya noontime show maintained its lead with a rating of 8.3 percent, compared to ‘EAT…Bulaga’s’ 4.3 percent, marking a 4 percent rating difference.
This trend continued on Tuesday, April 8, with ‘It’s Showtime’ securing the top spot with a rating of 8.7 percent, while ‘EAT…Bulaga’ trailed behind at 4.3 percent.
However, on Wednesday, April 9, ‘It’s Showtime’ experienced a slight decline to 8.3 percent, still maintaining its lead over ‘EAT…Bulaga,’ which garnered 4.9 percent.
By Thursday, April 10, ‘It’s Showtime’ saw a further decrease to 8.0 percent, remaining 3.7 percent ahead of ‘EAT…Bulaga’s’ 4.3 percent.
While ‘It’s Showtime’ continues to hold its timeslot leadership, its ratings are showing a downward trend, while its rival ‘EAT…Bulaga’ seems to be maintaining a steady average.
The question now is: can ‘It’s Showtime’ sustain its lead and bounce back in ratings, or will ‘EAT…Bulaga’ reclaim its former throne? We’ll see.
