Jake Ejercito and Andi Eigenmann agree to settle custody petition

Atty. Ferdinand Topacio confirmed that the pre-trial appearance of his client Jake Ejercito and his ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann in the child custody case filed by Jake for their five-year-old daughter went well.

The appearance of the two took place in the courtroom of Judge Cesar Sulit of the San Juan Regional Trial Court on June 22, Thursday.

Atty. Topacio told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “You know, Jake flew all the way back from Singapore.

“He’s studying there, his classes are until August.

“He came back here to have a pre-trial appearance.

“And Ms. Andi Eigenmann was there, she came with her lawyer.

“Ate Laarni [Enriquez, Jake’s mother] was also there.

“And through the efforts of our judge, they reached an agreement.”

Jake’s lawyer continued, “It was a happy event… but I can’t give the details, no.

“But suffice it to state, the agreement, both parties are happy, and it is acceptable to each side.

“This time, what Judge Sulit did was successful, because each side is happy with the outcome of this conversation and agreement.”

Because of the gag order, Atty. Topacio did not want to give the full details of what Jake and Andi’s camp agreed to.

But both sides accepted it and said they will sign it.

He said, “We were given a copy of the agreement, it is immediately effective, but on July 24, the parties will return to sign the agreement.

“But that is just a formality. After they sign it, the case will be dismissed.

“For me, we got what we wanted, and the one on Ms. Andi Eigenmann’s side is okay. CIVIL WITH EACH OTHER. According to Atty. Topacio, Jake and Andi had a chance to talk, but they were just civil to each other.

Andi was also polite to Jake’s mother, Laarni.

“Their conversation was just an exchange of opinions in court.

And it was nice, very civil, they didn’t fight, the conversation was smooth.

“When it was over, Andi Eigenmann kissed Ate Laarni, but it seemed like she and Jake just shook hands.

“The conversation was okay and smooth.

“When they parted, both of their faces looked relaxed.

“The issue can be said to be over, and it is expected that there will be no more negative statements on social media.”

Atty. Topacio added about his client, “He is happy, because after that we ate at Jerika’s restaurant, Maria Maria, he is happy.

“The next day, he returned to Singapore, and I’m sure he returned happy.

“Because Jake really cares about Ellie, Ellie’s best interest.

“At least now, without going into the details, Jake will really be a part of Ellie’s life, and there will be no more questions about whether he is Ellie’s father.

“Both parties have acknowledged that. There is no more dispute there… there is no more Albie Casiño, or whoever.

“That issue is over.”

FINANCIAL SUPPORT. The support that Jake should give to the child is also no longer an issue because it has been agreed upon in court.

Atty. Topacio said, “It was discussed, and Ellie has had support since the beginning.

“And now, whatever the previous support was, it has been extended and is in the agreement.

“Jake has no problem with whatever financial responsibilities he should fulfill as a father.

“Actually, that is all that Mr. Jake Ejercito wants to have clear, black and white, his rights as a father, and of course the rights of Ms. Andi Eigenmann as the mother of the child.

“That is all that is being sought, and I’m sure that is what Ms. Andi Eigenmann is also seeking because she is the mother of the child.

“And I’m very happy for Ellie that all the friction is gone.

“And it is true what the Bible says where it is written Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
