With how sensible and heartfelt her advice and hugots are whenever she’s asked for her opinions regarding the matters of the heart in every episode of the “Expecially For You” segment of “It’s Showtime,” Jackie Gonzaga indeed never fails to deliver. Thus, she eventually became one of its regular hosts, with Vice Ganda reiterating that she totally fits the bill.

And in this Showtime Toplist, let’s look back on the nine (9) instances that she either laughed or cried while talking about that crazy little thing called love, not just in “Expecially For You” but in the other segments as well!

Following the viral video of her dancing to “Water” during a recent trip to La Union that spread on the internet like wildfire, Jackie was teased by her co-hosts about it before they began playing “Showing Bulilit.” It was revealed that the Unkabogable Star, who also apparently serves as her talent manager, was shocked upon seeing it and immediately called her to ‘reprimand’ her.

Her “Expecially For You” co-hosts Vice and Jhong Hilario couldn’t help but notice how Jackie was apparently flustered by the presence of searchee Renz. So, they went on to tease her with Renz, with Jackie defending herself by saying that she just found him handsome and that he reminds her of someone she knows.

As a female searcher mentioned that there was a point in her life that she went on a drinking spree to cope with her past heartaches, the hosts expressed their agreement with what she decided to do, especially Vice, who mentioned going to Elyu. Since she knew that the Unkabogable Star was pertaining to her again, Jackie implied that it could be a good way to move past the pains that love has cost. This gave Vhong Navarro a way to ask her about how she felt and reacted upon receiving a comment on social media from someone that she personally knows.

She may not be part of the lineup of hosts in one episode of “Expecially For You,” but Vice summoned her to ask the searchees a question she’d been longing for to be answered. When asked why she quizzed them for the signs that a man loves his woman, she replied, “Kasi ngayon hindi mo malalaman kung totoo na ba ‘yong pinapakita sa’yo. Madami kasing taong mixed signals ‘yong binibigay, so gusto lang marinig sa kanila, based sa kanila na marami na nilang pinagdaanan kung paano ba talaga ang totoong pagmamahal ng lalaki.” They went on to tease her, with Vice jokingly telling her to quiz her “It’s Showtime” brothers or her “flame” directly.

As they touched on the topic of “ligaw” during their interview with a pair of searchers, Jackie was asked how long her courtship stage was in her former flames. According to her, it usually lasts for two to three months, since it’s absolutely necessary for her to deeply get to know the guy. But Vice rejected it by uttering in jest that she and her last boyfriend were just teased with each other while at work.

What was supposed to be a simple spontaneous skit in an episode of “Expecially For You” seemingly became real as Jackie, Vice, and Jhong attempted to reenact the breakup moment of searcher Joyce with her ex-boyfriend. Jackie’s statements apparently carried meaning, especially when she delivered the resonating line, “’Yon ang hirap sa inyo, hindi kayo nakokontento. Hindi ka rin naman perpekto, ang daming wala sa’yo. Hinanap ko ba sa iba?”

Jackie then received a standing ovation from the “It’s Showtime” hosts and a mic drop from the Unkabogable Star during an episode of the dating game, wherein she grilled searcher Daniel for seeing and talking to another girl while he was still in a relationship with her ex, Jannelle. Vice even said, “Jackie is the best ‘Expecially For You’ host.”

Since that’s the case, her co-hosts Vice, Jhong, and Vhong jokingly left her on the stage to run the segment all by herself. As she pleaded them not to leave her, the Unkabogable Star stood up and reminded her, “Hindi ka namin iiwan, nandoon lang kami sa tabi. At habang nandoon kami sa tabi, gusto naming maramdaman mo na kahit mag-isa ka, sapat ka at kaya mo.” And that got her instantly emotional.

On that same episode, she couldn’t help but breakdown when she uttered, “’Yon ‘yong masakit. Nag-grow kayo nang magkahiwalay pero nasa isang relasyon kayo,” after the ex-couple shared that they failed to also make their relationship thrive while they were also growing individually. While being consoled by Vice, Jhong jested that what really made her cry was the fact that Jackie and her ex only lasted for seven years, unlike the guests who made it to their eight years together.
