Janice, Aga sighting sparks hopes for reunion project

Janice de Belen and Aga Muhlach stirred nostalgia among showbiz fans after photos and videos of them together went online.
Among those who shared a photo, taken during the wake of Regal Entertainment Inc. founder Lily Monteverde, endearingly called Mother Lily in showbiz circles, was talent manager Popoy Caritativo.
The movie fan in Popoy couldn’t help but reminisce upon seeing the reunited former couple.
Wrote Popoy excitedly, “Aga and Janice. Suddenly, I’m 15 years old again.”
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) too recently shared a video of Janice and Aga’s interaction at the wake, and many netizens were thrilled to see the two mingling happily with showbiz colleagues.
Janice and Aga’s presence at Mother Lily’s wake was not surprising.
Both stars were once among Regal’s biggest young talents and were even a loveteam during the 1980s.
Some of the movies they made together include Erpat Kong Forgets, Bakit Madalas ang Tibok ng Puso, When I Fall in Love, and Super-Wan-Tu-Tri.
FROM REEL TO REAL-LIFE ROMANCE
Janice and Aga’s romance went beyond the big screen.
At the age of 18, Janice surprised the public by announcing on national television that she was pregnant with 17-year-old Aga Muhlach’s child.
Although Aga proposed to her, Janice declined, citing their youth as a reason.
They share a son, Luigi, who is now 37 years old and has pursued a career as a chef.
Today, Aga is married to beauty queen-actress Charlene Gonzalez. They have two kids: Atasha and Andres.

CLAMOR FOR A JANICE-AGA REUNION MOVIE
Netizens left comments on Popoy’s Instagram post, wondering about the possibility of a reunion movie for Janice and Aga.
“Grabe yung ayuda nàto Yung kilig ko umabot na sa North pole. Sana magkaroon sila ng project again,” wished a fan.
Another follower commented, “Super happy ko makita sila magkasama kahit man lang sa picture, sana magkaroon sila project together.”
“Loveteam na minahal.at iniyakan ko ng hindi nagkatuluyan,” remarked a netizen.
One comment reads, “I’m at my happiest seeing them both together again. Aga-Janice tandem is still the best for me.”
