MANILA — It was supposed to be just a normal day for “Lavender Fields” stars Janine Gutierrez and Jericho Rosales but things took a good turn of events when they decided to see the actress’ dog at the veterinary clinic.

Gutierrez and Rosales confirmed Tuesday that they are dating after rumors sparked after they visited a museum.

Jericho Rosales admits dating Janine Gutierrez

Speaking to reporters, Rosales said he had worked with the mom of Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, and was surprised to see them during her brother Diego’s gig.

“I did share scenes with her sa ‘Atok,’ she is also funny. It kinda really runs in the family. Wow, she have good words for me,” the actor said.

“We saw each other sa launch ng single ni Diego and we saw each other and we hugged and I love it because Janine has such a loving family, very cool family,” he added.

Gutierrez said meeting her whole family was unplanned.

“Pero parang it all worked out na rin kasi magkasama kami parang kakain lang dapat kami and then parang ‘yung dog namin biglang ni-rush sa vet ta’s ‘yung pupuntahan namin on the way sa vet,” the actress said.

“Na-meet niya ‘yung dog, ‘yung daddy ko, then ‘yung mga sisters ko and it so happened to be the same night of my brother’s song launch and nagtuloy-tuloy na. Random lang talaga siya na araw pero it was so much fun,” she added.

Rosales described meeting Gutierrez’s family like hitting the jackpot.

“I’ve met them in one day, it’s so funny. I was with her in the car, we’re on our way to Diego’s launch and their dog was sent to the vet and her two sisters were there and I said why don’t we just pass by because it’s on the way, we went there and I saw the sisters,” Rosales said.

“After that we went to the launch and the brother was there and then of course the father was there and Ms. Lotlot was there and the entire management was there and I was like, hello, na-meet ko ‘yung buong family in one day, jackpot, di ba. It was really one of the cutest things and they’re just warm and cool and chill and love it,” he added.

Gutierrez said that she is glad for her family’s trust her decisions.

“My mom naman is very chill naman and hands-off kasi hindi na rin naman ako teenager and I entered the industry na luckily tapos na ako with school na everything so ‘yun lang naman ‘yung deal ni Mama eh na ‘kapag magtrabaho ka, ikaw na ‘yan, ikaw na lahat ng ‘yan’,” the actress said.

“She was never a stage mom with everything, so chill lang. Sobrang chill ng parents ko, very bagets, bagets vibe lang especially my dad. I’m very lucky in that sense na chill lang sila na parang they trust me, so thank you,” she added.
