Cathy Garcia-Molina has seen the growth of KathNiel

Award-winning filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina revealed what she did after the KathNiel breakup announcement.

Following the confirmation that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla had about their breakup, Direk Cathy’s name was involved. It is because netizens noticed that she was not following Daniel on Instagram.

Speculations surfaced that Direk Cathy unfollowed Daniel and this showed that she was siding with Kathryn. However, the filmmaker spoke about this and stressed that there was no unfollowing that happened because, in the first place, she was not following the actor.

The director has worked with the loveteam partners for several projects already in the course of their acting careers. Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina has seen the growth of these two celebrities.

In a recent interview, the director shared that she both texted Daniel and Kathryn after the breakup became the talk of the town. She said that everybody was saddened by the confirmation that Kathryn and Daniel were no longer together.

Direk Cathy stressed that she is not siding with anyone. “But I love them both. Ako, yun lang tinext ko sa kanilang dalawa. I texted both of them. I said, I love you. It should end there,” she said.

The filmmaker added that Kathryn and Daniel are already mature people and that they know what to do. She knows that there is a certain boundary where it is appropriate for her to say anything.

“Ako, nandito lang when they need me. When they need me, they will come to me. Otherwise, I don’t ask. I don’t meddle. Malalaki na sila,” she said.

Direk Cathy’s first project with KathNiel was the 2012 movie Got To Believe. Two years after that, they worked again for the movie She’s Dating The Gangster. This was followed by the series remake of Pangako Sa’Yo from 2015 to 2016. From 2017 to 2018 they did the the series La Luna Sangre.
