As mysterious as Kris Aquino‘s autoimmune diseases was the identity of her the new guy in her life. In June 2024, Kris and her son Bimby confirmed that she found love anew but denied the public any information about him.

She revealed that he was a  doctor and his profession was the reason why they easily connected as he was someone who knew her condition. He was also one of the reasons why he decided to come back to the Philippines as his presence made her feel confident that someone was surely going to take care of her apart from her doctors.

Recently, in a new post where she shared that she now has six autoimmune conditions and undergoing a minimally invasive surgery, she dropped the name Dr. Mike Padlan.

 

 

Who is Dr. Mike Padlan?

He is Michael C. Padlan, M.D. born on September 30, 1972. He is now 52 years old while Kris is 53. Padlan stands 5’11” and he hailed from Urbiztondo, an agricultural town in Pangasinan.

He was 16 when he left his hometown to pursue further education in medicine and despite being able to establish a career in the city, he never once forgot about his province life. His profession has been actually making way for him to visit provinces, especially those underserved communities, where he offers services.

He specializes in trauma surgery. Padlan completed his medical studies at Far Eastern University. He earned both medical technology and medicine degrees at FEU and furthered his experience and training as a trauma surgeon in the United States.

Dr. Mike grew up with six brothers and five sisters and in becoming a doctor, his greatest influence was his father. For him, choosing to become a doctor wasn’t just a career choice but a continuation of their family legacy in healthcare. He is an outstanding surgeon at Makati Medical Center.

In his life outside the hospital, he is a ballroom dancer and loves traveling. He also has a passion for cars and when it comes to sports, one of his favorite pastimes is playing badminton. He also enjoys cycling and jogging.

There were unconfirmed reports about him being previously married and having two children with his former spouse. In his 2004 interview with the Philippine Star, he shared that he is a parent to an adopted child named Miguel.
