Vice Ganda and “It’s Showtime’s” Kuya Escort Ion Perez keep on teasing their fans about their alleged romance.
During the “KapareWho” segment of “It’s Showtime” on March 29, Vice Ganda’s mother Rosario and sister Emma were part of the audience. His co-hosts took this opportunity to tease Perez that it is about time for him to “meet the family” of Vice.
Perez then took the microphone and unhesitantly introduced himself to Vice Ganda’s mother and asked for her “approval” for him to be part of her son’s life.
“Humihingi po ako ng permiso – puwede ba ako sa puso niya?” Perez said which drew shrieks from the crowd.
Perez then had a quick banter with Jackie Gonzaga wherein he further said that he is “serious” about Vice Ganda and even gestured towards his heart.
Vice Ganda’s mother is seen laughing all throughout the segment but did not make any statement regarding her son’s rumored relationship with Perez.
It can be recalled that several posts on social media claimed that Perez has admitted the real score between him and Vice Ganda during the taping of the latter’s late night comedy talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” earlier this month.
The said posts narrate that guests Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos-Concio appeared on the show to promote their new horror movie “Eerie”.
Perez then appeared onstage to pull a prank on Vice Ganda while wearing a costume to scare him.
However, the photos suggest that the “prank” turned to an unexpected revelation when Perez said that he is already having a hard time keeping his relationship with Vice Ganda because people keep on asking him about it.
Netizens then claimed that it was during that part of the taping when Perez revealed that he and Vice Ganda are indeed a couple.
However, the revelation that the netizens claimed was never shown on television.
Moreover, neither Vice Ganda nor Perez has confirmed if that story truly happened during the taping of the said show.
Vice Ganda and Perez have been rumored to be romantically linked ever since they started working on “It’s Showtime” but neither of them gave a serious confirmation.
Perez is a newcomer in the entertainment industry who gained prominence for being the good-looking usher for the Miss Q&A segment of “It’s Showtime”. He hailed from Concepcion, Tarlac and has been working as a model.
He has also entered male pageantry and won the titles Misters of Filipinas 2017 and Mister Universe Tourism 2018.
