We’ve had our fair share of celebrity dating rumors. And let’s be real—most of the rumors are often instigated by fans who want to see their idols get together. But what if the one of the celebs’ parents spark more attention to the rumors? Case in point: Lotlot De Leon and Jericho Rosales‘ recent exchange on Instagram!

In case you haven’t heard, there’s some buzz going around romantically linking Echo and another Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez. Reports were made that the two were spotted having “casual dates” around the Metro. That’s also because Janine and Echo posted almost matchy snaps of their recent to the museum!

Days ago, Janine posted an Instagram dump of some photos she took from her recent museum visit. Her caption was, “Current camera roll.” It included photos of the art displayed at the National Museum in Manila, some portraits of her, and some candid snaps of her strolling around.

TBH, it was just the usual IG dump until Janine’s mother commented as if to spill some juicy detail about Janine’s recent post. Lotlot said, “Ah excuse me po.. Sino po kasama mo nagpunta dyan? Hmmmm…”

Her comment gave the notion that she was not aware of Janine’s whereabouts‚in the funniest way, of course. But it attracted more attention because of Jericho’s response to Lotlot’s comment!

Echo, being the *naturally* funny guy he is, replied to Lotlot saying, “[waving hand emojis] Nag-door bell po ako para magpaalam pero hinabol ako ng aso eh.”

The actor’s comment appeared to be a confirmation that he was with Janine visiting the museum. Well, true enough, just recently, Echo also posted some museum snaps—it was as if the two really went on a date.

This is the first time that Echo and Janine have been linked together in a romantic way. The Internet now wonders if there’s something going on between the two of them. Although it’s a known fact at this point that the two Kapamilya stars will be working together in one series soon.

ICYDK, Echo and Janine are set to be the lead stars of an upcoming Dreamscape series called Lavender Fields. There’s no confirmation yet but there are already rumors that their characters would be romantic partners in the said teleserye. It’ll also be the first time that the two will work alongside each other as leads.

It was earlier in 2024 that Echo confirmed his separation from his wife, Kim Jones. It was the couple’s godfather, Ricco Ocampo, who first confirmed the news. In his statement, Ricco pointed out that the two have remained good friends despite their separation.

“While the friendship between the two remains, they have decided it is time to lead separate lives. They are encouraging each other to grow, albeit in different directions. It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties,” Ricco said in his statement shared with ABS-CBN News.

Weeks later, Echo himself said that he and Kim are good friends. “We thought that it was the perfect time because the goal was really to show people that we’re good. We’re really good. We’ve crossed over, you know, we’ve transformed the relationship into something really special as friends,” he exclusively told Cosmopolitan Philippines during his February 2024 cover interview.

Going back to Echo’s comment on Janine’s post, we can’t take it as a confirmation or anything, so take everything with a grain of salt! 😉
