Nag-bonding sina Dolly de Leon at Kathryn Bernardo noong Huwebes ng gabi, Abril 20, 2023, kasama ang direktor nila sa pelikulang A Very Good Girl na si Petersen Vargas.

Big deal sa mga tao ang pagtatagpo nila! Exciting!

“Yes! Big deal din sa akin po,” bulalas ni Dolly sa FDCP Parangal ng Sining nitong Abril 23, Linggo ng gabi, sa Seda Hotel Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City.

“Kasi po, makakatrabaho ko siya, e. And ako, I really believe that for you to work effectively with people, you need to have a good relationship with them.

“And I was excited to meet her and she did not disappoint. She’s lovingly beautiful inside, ahhmm and also intelligent.

“Masarap siya kausap. And marami rin siyang input. And she’s also funny. Kaya OK siya.”

Nag-wine-wine sila after dinner.

“Kasi ano, talagang inuman session yun na parang a way for us to get to know each other,” sambit ni Dolly.

“It was a way for us to talk to each other about how we work together, how can we help and support each other during filming.

“And kasi it’s really important na when you’re working with people that you establish a relationship with them, e. So, yun.”

Anu-ano ang napagchikahan nila?

“Chika namin, yung mga things na we would like to establish while we’re working, how we can support each other, kung ano yung mga hilig namin,” pagsisiwalat ni Dolly.

“Like, you know, yung mga hobbies namin, yung mga trip namin when we’re not working. Things like that.”

Parehong Aries ang zodiac sign nila ni Kathryn.

“Pareho kaming may pagka-stubborn. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Medyo matigas ang ulo namin!” natawang sabi ni Dolly.

“Pero at the same time, ahhmm marunong din kaming maging flexible. We’re natural born leaders. You know, Aries, fire sign, so medyo very passionate, mapusok.

First time ba niyang ma-meet si Kathryn?

“Na-meet ko siya noong bata pa siya! Parang 13 pa lang siya noon, e,” tugon ni Dolly.

“I didn’t really have a chance to interact with her. More of yung mommy niya ang kachika ko noon.”

Anong kaibahan ni Kathryn noon at ngayon?

“Noon, soft-spoken, tahimik, hindi machika. Ngayon, she’s still a little bit soft-spoken, mahinhin pa rin which is nice,” sabi ni Dolly.

“And she has an opinion, she’s her own woman and I love that about her. She grew up to be a really beautiful human being. Inside.

“And a very good actress. Given yun talaga.”

Napanood at na-appreciate ni Dolly ang movies ni Kathryn, lalo na iyong Hello, Love, Goodbye (2019).

“Napakahusay niya dun!” pagdidiin ni Dolly.

Pero ibang-iba siyempre ang A Very Good Girl sa previous movies ni Kathryn na tumalakay sa romantic relationship.

Napatango si Dolly, “Yes, ibang-iba talaga to. And ibang-iba rin ito for me. A Very Good Girl is a story of reckoning between two women, between two self-made women.

“And it’s a reckoning story of how they navigate life, being the empowered women that they are. Yun.”

Mother-daughter ba sila?

“Hindi!” mabilis na sagot ni Dolly, na napatungo.

“Hindi! They’re businesswomen, oo. So it’s the business world, yeah.”

Walang love interest si Kathryn?

“Wala… wala. Because it’s a testament that women can survive on their own without the dependence of another person on their lives.
