Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly looking to acquire a top-level football club.
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly submitted a bid to acquire a football club in a shock development.
The right-back’s contract situation at Anfield remains uncertain as speculation over his future grows.
But there is news on the England international’s next steps in a business capacity, with L’Equipe claiming he wants to take over Ligue One side Nantes.
Alexander-Arnold is already a minority shareholder in Formula One team Alpines, forming part of a star-studded syndicate created by Otro Capital alongside Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Anthony Joshua and Rory McIlroy.
But he is keen to get involved in the French football market with Nantes, who are currently fifth in Ligue One.
As per Get French Football news, businessman Waldemar Kita has owned the club since 2007 but has become frustrated with the situation and the financial issues they have had to contend with.

The reports says that the 25-year-old’s father, Michael Arnold, controls his business interests with a London investment firm and the first contact between the Arnolds and Kita was on a video call last summer.
They have since met in person in both Geneva and London in recent times, with a mooted takeover totalling €100m.
The proposed arrangement would be for €80 million straight, as well as a seller credit of €20 million.

The fee would need to ensure Kita gets back most of his money lost from his investment in the club, which could prove tricky.
Nantes are denying that any such talks with Alexander-Arnold and his family have taken place.
If a takeover was to happen, Alexander-Arnold would become one of the youngest owners in world football, following in the footsteps of Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Earlier in this summer, the former Paris Saint-Germain forward, also 25, became a majority owner in Ligue Two club Caen.
