She’s on her way to win more!
You might’ve already heard of Belle Mariano’s ~historic~ win at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2022 held in Seoul, South Korea. ICYMI, the 20-year-old actress accepted her Outstanding Asian Star award in person and made history as the first-ever Filipina actress to earn it! (Bonus: She even had the cutest interaction with Kang Daniel!) Although Belle is currently booked and busy, she still made time to talk about her win and a new goal in an interview. In an exclusive interview with Star Magic News, Belle revealed that she felt nervous while on the stage but still powered through by cherishing the moment. She said, “Nung una kinakabahan ako. Siyempre first time ko mag-aaccept ng award on stage, and it was being held in Korea pa. When I was there on the stage, I just cherished the moment.”

 


When asked about the award’s significance to the young actress, she shared that receiving it was fulfilling since it had always been her dream to win one. “Ever since [then], I really wanted to win awards, and this is just the first of many. I’m claiming it,” Belle manifested. Now that she has bagged her first international award, you might wonder what’s next for the actress.

As for Belle’s new goal, she alluded to her upcoming film, An Inconvenient Love, with on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan. Belle said, “We’re in the middle of shooting a movie right now, and we’d want that to go international. So siyempre, [an] award for that movie as well.”

Of course, Belle didn’t forget to thank the fans who believed in her. “I wouldn’t be here without them so maramingmaraming salamat. This accomplishment is also yours and kung pwede ko [lang] ibigay sa inyo ‘yung award, you guys deserve it! And I’m going to do my very best para makakuha pa tayo ng maraming awards,” the actress concluded.
