Kapamilya actress-host Anne Curtis has this post about veteran actress Jaclyn Jose who died due to a heart attack.

Multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose, whose real name was Mary Jane Guck, died at her house in Quezon City. According to the statement of Andi Eigenmann, her mother died because of a heart attack. There was no foul play related to her untimely death.

Jake Ejercito and Ellie were heartbroken over this and Andi was even emotional when she faced the public to confirm her Nanay’s death.

Many celebrities mourned and were saddened over the actress’ passing. Based on a previous article, celebrities and famous personalities paid tribute for Jaclyn. Among those who expressed sadness is Anne Curtis who was able to work with the multi-awarded actress.

Curtis and Jose have worked together in “A Secret Affair”. The late actress played as her mother and in a post in X (formerly Twitter). According to her, the last time she was able to talk with her was in December last year and they talked about how fast time flies the little ones.

She said in the caption, “Rest in peace Tita Jane. Was just speaking to her about how fast time flies with little ones last December. my deepest condolences to the Guck and Eigenmann family.”

She started a showbiz career in the ’80s but her first TV appearance was on ABS-CBN when she played the role Ester Lagrimas in the classic soap opera “Familia Zaragoza” in 1995. But the role that brought her to stardom was Magdalena “Magda” Trinidad-Pereira in the original “Mula Sa Puso” in 1997.

Before her death, the last role she did was in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”. She was playing the role of tough Jail Chief Supt./BGEN Dolores Espinas. Her inclusion in this series, as per her, completed her career as an artist.
