QUENTIN Millora Brown had himself a well-deserved breather from playing, as he enjoyed the game that he loves from the sidelines when he visited the PBA before leaving the country for the holiday season.
The University of the Philippines big man gave out some of his takeaways shortly after watching the San Miguel – Eastern Commissioner’s Cup game inside Philsports Arena.
Although refusing to label San Miguel and Ginebra as his favorite local ballclubs, the 24-year-old center obviously has all the respect on the two champion franchises from the San Miguel Group of companies.
“Looking at the two bigs, they have so much knowledge and experience. Just the craftiness to their game, the physicality, the speed. I mean it’s really fun to watch. You know, I just love basketball,” QMB told a small group of reporters who sought him out.
Fresh from helping the Fighting Maroons reclaim the UAAP men’s basketball championship from the De La Salle Green Archers, the 6-foot-10 Milloria-Brown said it was the second time he watched a live PBA game after previously witnessing Game 6 of the Governors’ Cup semifinals series between the two teams.

“I watched San Miguel-Ginebra when it was the closeout game. It was a fun game to watch,” he added.
And having seen the Beermen up close and personal for the second straight time, SPIN.ph asked him about his impression with the 35-year-old Fajardo.
“What a guy,” he said of his fellow 6-foot-10, who delivered 23 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, and two block shots in that 99-91 overtime loss.
“He’s really, really tough to guard. You can tell how hard the other teams have to work to guard him.”
Any chance of seeing him battling Fajardo in Asia’s oldest professional league in the immediate future?
“We’ll see,” was QMB’s immediate reply about the possibility of applying in the PBA Season 50 draft.
“That’s still in September. So when that time comes around, my agent (Todd Seidel) and I will look at all the options.”
QMB already played his final season with UP, being a one-and-done prospect for the Fighting Maroons program.
