People online are celebrating the comeback of Jhong Hilario in Its Showtime and some of the hosts even turned emotional.

JHONG HILARIO – Sample King Jhong Hilario makes a big surprise comeback in Its Showtime that his co-hosts are not aware of.

Madlang People and the hosts of Its Showtime just received a big surprise on their Saturday. Last week, Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis returned after her two-year hiatus in the noontime show, and just this Saturday, another host who went on hiatus returned also. It’s none other than the Sample King Jhong Hilalrio.

He came back unannounced. He disguised himself as a Tawag Ng Tanghalan contestant. He has his cap, glasses, and facial hair to cover him up and he sang “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko” song, the theme song of their family in the show.

Slowly, he unmasked himself and when he finally revealed himself, Anne and Vice Ganda were instantly in tears. He did not just surprise his co-hosts but he also did surprise the viewers or their “madlang people”. Their viewers, seeing the four icons of the show such as Jhong, Vice, Anne, and Vhong Navarro, also felt nostalgic because, after many years, the four of them were finally seen in one frame physically together.

In a report from Philstar, Vice expressed that once Jhong and Anne return, he will not be expecting more hosts. He feared that they’ll just go and that would make their family incomplete.

The main host added that Showtime played a huge part in his life, most especially in surviving the pandemic. He said, “Ayokong may mawala sa kanila. So kung ito lang ang mayroon kami for now, okay na ‘to. Kung may bumalik at ang kapalit ay may mababawas. I’d rather not.”
