Angel Reese has been making waves in the WNBA as one of the most talked-about players who could either talk about the Rookie Of The Year award or be announced as a co-winner alongside Caitlin Clark.
Reese has made a name for herself on and off the court, whether it’s bringing a record number of double-doubles or going insanely viral with her eccentric outfits.
Reese is embracing her star status with new endorsements, dropping new shoes, and starting a podcast.
This week, fans got a taste of Angel Reese again as a mic’d-up video revealed a side of Reese that goes beyond her impressive on-court skills.
A montage of Angel Reese mic’d up during Chicago Sky practice is going viral as the rookie sensation decided to have fun with teammates and coaches.
The Chicago Sky social media account posted the minute-and-18-second video, writing, ‘We know you’ve all been waiting for this one.’
They were correct.
Fans all had the same thing to say about a side of Reese they weren’t familiar with:
Her celebrity status, combined with Caitlin Clark, broke all types of records during the latest matchup.
Last Friday night’s WNBA showdown between Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky set an ION television ratings record.
According to a report from Jason Clinkscales of Sportico, the matchup brought in an average of 1.6 million viewers and peaked at 1.92 million viewers.
Angel Reese Breaks League Single-Season Rebounding Record
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese broke the WNBA’s single-season record for rebounds, when she brought down her 418th during a defeat against the Minnesota Lynx, per ESPN.
Prior to that game, she needed six rebounds to take the record from former Sky player Sylvia Fowles.
She ended the night with 19 to go along with 17 points, giving her a 24th double-double on the season.
