Singer Gigi de Lana is allegedly banned from ABS-CBN and it was said that there was a heavy reason behind this.

Gigi has become an online sensation with her videos covering songs and giving them her own spin. Her name became popular in showbiz when she joined It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan in 2016. However, she did not win in that season.

When the pandemic hit, Gigi’s name on social media became so popular because of her livestreams. She was singing with her band and they would cater to the song requests of their viewers.

After that, Gigi de Lana was given a chance to perform in shows and concerts around the country. She was even given some acting projects. Just recently, she just finished her US tour with her band.

Amid the success that she has been receiving in her singing career, issues about her surfaced. To recall, a showbiz writer shared a few months ago that Gigi was accused of being “pa-diva.” Allegedly, she pretended to have fainted while performing at an event. She was carried to an ambulance but she refused to be brought to the hospital and when she arrived at their hotel room, she said that she was already fine.

In a recent episode of Showbiz Update episode, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared another negative issue about Gigi.

Ogie said that now is Gigi is back in the country after her US tour, she is set to promote her new song. However, there was an entity hindering her from having any television appearances.

Allegedly, it is because the singer committed a breach of contract with Star Magic. It was also said that she went on her own and did not fulfill her obligations as an artist, according to what was written in her contract.

It was said that Gigi de Lana wanted to promote her new song on television shows but Ogie asked, “banned na nga ‘to sa ABS-CBN?” Allegedly, Gigi could not also penetrate GMA.

Ogie added that he hopes this is not true but if ever this really happened, Gigi should clarify the issue because he said that ABS-CBN is easy to talk with when it comes to contracts.

“May nangyayari nga bang silent ban dito kay Gigi de Lana?” Ogie asked, adding that he wished the singer could iron this out.
