Donny Pangilinan cleared up any confusion regarding the viral video where he was seen with Kathryn Bernardo.
In the said video, the 25-year-old actor can be seen talking to the actress and offering her a drink while Kathryn was dancing with another guest during the wedding reception of Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda.
“Hi @donnypangilinan ganto ka pala pag interested ka sa babae,” the uploader captioned the post.
Donny, during a press conference for his new e-sports movie, GG (Good Game): The Movie on Wednesday, Jan. 10, clarified he and Kathryn, who broke up with longtime boyfriend Daniel Padilla last November, are just friends.
“Wedding ni Robi yun. Friends kaming lahat,” he said. “Lahat naman kami friends sa showbiz. Binabantayan namin ang isat isa. Ayun lang yon.”
“I think for me it’s just having peace of mind na friends kaming lahat. Okay kami. Ginagawa namin ‘yung trabaho namin and that’s the most important thing,” he added.
Meanwhile, Robi also set the record straight by reposting the said viral video to clarify that his groomsmen, Donny and Darren Espanto, only made sure their wedding guests were entertained. The TV host also asked the public not to make any issues out of it.
“Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please. Also, being the groomsmen, and helped us out in taking care of all of the guests,” the actor-host wrote.
Donny stars in GG (Good Game): The Movie, a film about esports, alongside his mother, Maricel Laxa, Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo, Baron Geisler, and the late actor, Ronaldo Valdez.
He is also known for his films He’s Into Her, Love is Color Blind, An Inconvenient Loveand the romantic drama television series Can’t Buy Me Love with his love team Belle Mariano.
