Two days before Christmas, the Kapamilya star confirmed that she and Xian Lim had broken up after almost 12 years of dating.
โEnd of a love story. It took me a while to say this until today,โ Kim said, as speculations about their relationship have been circulating online.
Kim penned a letter for their supporters who had been patiently waiting for them to speak up.
โWe owe our supporters the truth, but we also respect each otherโs time of healing. In a relationship, love is always a significant factor, but sometimes love is not enough,โ she remarked.
The actress also expressed gratitude to their fans and asked everyone to respect her and Xianโs decision.

Xian also penned a goodbye message for Kim on his Instagram account after the actress officially confirmed their decision to part ways.
โThe 12 years of my life with you was the best gift I could ever ask for. We have expressed our love for each other to the fullest and knowing that I got to share those moment with you, knowing our hearts beat as one at one point in our lives is truly something I will cherish for life,โ the 34-year-old actor-director wrote.
Xian also added how grateful he is for the times they shared together and how he will continue to admire and respect his ex-girlfriend even after splitting up.
