Zanjoe Marudo talked about being a father for the first time

Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo revealed what he felt when he welcomed his first baby with his wife actress Ria Atayde.

Zanjoe and Ria tied the knot in March this year in an intimate civil wedding ceremony. This happened shortly after they announced their engagement.

Last September, the celebrity couple welcomed their first baby. Ria’s mom, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez excitedly shared the news on social media. However, the showbiz family decided not to reveal the baby’s face, for now.

In line with this, Zanjoe Marudo’s Facebook fan page warned the public not to believe or indulge in social media posts claiming that a certain photo of a baby is Zanjoe and Ria’s child.

The actor said in a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, that they are being greedy when it comes to the face and name of their child. It just so happened that they chose not to announce or post something about this on social media.

Zanjoe said that he can’t see the essence of posting about his child that is still too little now. However, he stressed that they definitely show their baby’s face and say the name when people would ask them. “Proteksiyon din e, kasi alam niyo naman ngayon marami na ring,” he said.

On the other hand, the actor said that who knows maybe next month or in proper timing, they will show their baby in the right set-up as a family. It was said that the baby looks like Zanjoe but the skin color belongs to the Ataydes.

Zanjoe Marudo also shared what he felt when Ria Atayde gave birth. He said that he did not cry right after his wife delivered their baby but when the baby cried, he was stunned, realizing that he is now a father. Then, he got nervous and was shaking. That feeling changed when he saw his baby’s face.

“Nung nakita ko yung face na, okay na. Ang sarap ng feeling. Hindi ko ma-explain. Hindi ko alam kung saan ko kukunin yung kasiyahan, yung kaba, yung ganung feeling bilang ama,” the actor shared, adding that this is a different feeling for him and this is his first time experiencing this. He shared that acting out this kind of scene on camera is far different from the reality.
