The funny moment happened during the opening of Tawag ng Tanghalan, where Curtis, along with co-hosts Vice Ganda, Amy Perez, Mariel Rodriguez, and Ryan Bang conversed candidly about delicacies, including frog legs.

Curtis’s well-meaning contribution to the topic was the mention of the edible “palakang bukid,” which she mispronounced to sound like the colloquial term for the female private part.

The actress immediately corrected herself, but at that point, the reactions of her co-hosts had her laughing from embarrassment.

“Kinabahan ako!” Perez quipped, as she approached Curtis.

Vice Ganda joked: “Ano kaya ang amoy ng palakang ‘yon?”

As the audience burst into laughter over the mistake, Curtis could be seen wiping her tears. “Sorry po,” she said, as she covered her face and asked her co-hosts to move on with the segment.

The Australia-born Curtis’ “bulol” or tongue-tied moments have been a frequent source of comedic material for Vice Ganda, her close friend and frequent co-host on “It’s Showtime.”
