Kapamilya superstar comedian Vice Ganda is proud of Ion Perez but was also in tears in the show for this reason.

What a way to end the Magpasikat week of It’s Showtime!

The Magpasikat 2023 performance of Team Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, and Ion Perez left everyone mesmerized and with lots of realizations. Their performance left a message about the responsible use of social media and cell phones.

It left everyone in tears including Vice Ganda who was there in the studio to witness the performance of the last group to perform. The comedian broke into tears, most especially for his partner Ion.

One of the topics tackled is the cyberbullying. Ion’s character is a waiter who became popular because of a viral video. The waiter was ridiculed online and lost his job which showed the reality of today.

The performance became even more emotional when the deeper reason for Ion’s cry was revealed. He apologized to his mother and left a message to his sister who died of cancer.

“At sa ate ko na hindi na namin kapiling, gusto ko lang sabihin sa yo na maraming-maraming salamat sa tulong, sa ipinaramdam mo, sa sakripisyo mo na hindi ko na nasuklian. Nami-miss na kita, Ate… Mahal na mahal kita, hanggang sa muli. I love you, Ate,” he said.

This moment has left the superstar comedian in lots of tears as he witnessed how Ion has been fighting the ridicule online every day of his life. From the moment their relationship was revealed up to today, Ion has been facing bullying and wrong judgments from people who don’t know the real story.

“Everyday he’s being judged. Araw-araw, lumalaban yan. Araw-araw nasasaktan kaya,” Vice said.

He then added this message for Ion, “Araw-araw, kakampihan kita araw-araw. Ipagdadasal kita araw-araw. Yayakapin kita araw-araw. Dadamayan kita araw-araw. Araw-araw, sasamahan kita… sasamahan kita. Mahal na mahal kita. Proud na proud ako sa yo. Proud na proud ako sa yo.”
