Here’s why Vice Ganda said this to Annette Gozon Valdes.

In the recent, It’s Showtime episode, Kapamilya host Vice Ganda did this and immediately said sorry to “Ma’am Annette”.

Annette Gozon Valdes is the president of GMA Films and GMA Worldwide. In 2004, she became president of GMA Films, and in 2007, she also became the president of GMA Worldwide.

She is also the president of Anram Medical Group, a dialysis center and the chairman of Aptus Global Solutions, an outsourcing and offshoring solutions provider. Last March, GMA and ABS-CBN signed a historical collaboration. It’s Showtime is airing on GMA main channel officially – an event no one thought would happen but it did.

With this deal, some limitations were, of course, set. In the recent episode of It’s Showtime during the “EXpecially For You” segment, Vice Ganda and Rita Daniela were talking about the latter appearing in a news program and the comedian mistakenly mentioned TV Patrol when GMA has 24 Oras.

He immediately took it back saying, “Pwede sa 24 Oras. Bakit ba TV Patrol ang nasabi natin?”

This then led him apologizing to Ma’am Annette referring to the GMA executive. He quipped, “Ma’am Annette, I’m sorry!”

To recall, what paved way for Showtime to air in GMA was the Eat Bulaga! pioneers Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon leaving. Legal battle occurred versus TAPE Inc. but this ended with the trio having the name of the noontime show in their control.

“Tahanang Pinakamasaya” filled the space but this was short-lived due to some reasons. Soon after, talks about Showtime as replacement of TP emerged and later on, this was proven to be true.

The other current Showtime hosts are Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Darren, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez
