It is finally confirmed that Vice Ganda will be doing a new film and he feels pressured because of this reason.

Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda confirmed a movie he will be doing this year and he is already feeling the pressure working with the director.

Last January, ABS-CBN comedian-host Vice Ganda confirmed that he will be having a movie with Jun Lana, an award-winning director. Vice’s movie with Lana announcement was first made during celebrity couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas’ 20th wedding anniversary.

Recently, the title of the comedian’s new film has been revealed and the new movie will be called ‘And the Breadwinner is…’

In Friday’s episode of “It’s Showtime”, the “Unkabogable” superstar confirmed this and announced that it will be under Star Cinema.

“Magkakaroon ako ng pelikula na kasama si direk Jun Luna, ididirek ako ni Jun Lana at sila ang magsusulat ng pelikula ko. Napakasuwerte ko. Kaya madlang people, this is it — new movie alert. Your mother will be mothering again sa mga sinehan. Magbabalik pelikula po tayo para magbigay ng unkabogability sa buong society,” Vice said with enthusiasm that brought excitement to many people.

According to the award-winning director, the story of this film is personal for him and Vice. He even expressed that many can relate to the film and promised to exceed the standar “riot comedy” of a VG film.

To recall, Vice’s last movie was 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Partners in Crime” with Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi. Vice movie’s absence in the MMFF 2023 was greatly felt.

Speaking about working with the director, the ace comedian expressed the pressure he is feeling. According to him, he doesn’t want to ruin Lana’s filmography but he needs him to continue the good thing that was already started.

He wanted to do something not just to make people laugh but also leave some “kurot” to the people through his film. He wanted to leave people some realizations and thoughts to ponder with. And with this goal, he believes Director Jun Lana can do this.
