It’s Showtime brings its biggest anniversary celebration to date called “Sampu Sample,” a year-long festival of surprises that marks the program’s ten years of making Filipinos happy and invites all madlang people to not just have fun but also help in taking care of the environment and in making a difference.

For their anniversary, the noontime program will be bringing back segments that the madlang people loved. One of these is “AdVice Ganda” wherein Vice Ganda as Madam Bertud gives advice to those who have problems.

Vice Ganda gave pieces of advice for those overthink in a relationship during It’s Showtime‘s October 12 episode.

Jerald Layug, 22, shared that he has been having problems with his girlfriend Erica who restricts him from doing what he wants. These include going home to his family and going to work. According to him, he lives in Erica’s house and they have been together for almost a year. His girlfriend admitted to checking his social media accounts because she sometimes feels like he is cheating on her.

With this, Vice advised those who are in a relationship to stop being strict and remember that partners should not become one’s world.

“Tayo sa mga jowa natin, ‘wag tayong masyadong praning, ‘wag tayong masyadong mahigpit, ‘wag tayong masyadong mapanakal, ‘wag tayong masyadong addict,” he said.

“Yung mga jowa natin, bahagi lang sila ng mundo natin pero hindi sila ang mundo. Ikaw din, Ate (Erica), bahagi ka lang ng mundo ni Jerald pero hindi ikaw ang mundo niya dahil malaki ang mundo at sa mundong ‘yon, kasama ang pamilya niya, kaibigan niya, at kasama ang sarili niya. Hindi lang ikaw,” he added.

He also encouraged partners to set their significant other free and let them to what they please because if they cheated, it is not because their partners are weak, but because they are cheaters.

“Hayaan n’yo lang sila. ‘Yung mga jowa natin, palayain natin sila. Gawin n’yo kung anong gusto n’yong gawin kasi kung manloloko ‘yan, nagloko ‘yan hindi naman dahil mahina ka eh. Nagloko ‘yan dahil manloloko talaga ‘yan,” he stated.

“Hindi naman ‘yan magtitino dahil pinatino mo siya. Magtitino ‘yan nang kusa dahil mahal ka niya kahit wala kang ginagawa,” he continued.

According to Jerald, he will do anything for her, but they will still talk about giving her his Facebook password.

With this, Vice reminded everyone to leave something for himself or herself and never become empty for anyone.

“Sa mga mahal natin sa buhay, hindi pwedeng ibigay mo ang lahat dahil ‘pag binigay mo ang lahat, dapat handa ka na wala ka nang matira sa sarili mo kasi binigay mo na ang lahat eh,” he expressed.

He also shared a message for those who let their partners give them their all.

“Kung mahal mo ‘yung tao, hindi mo kukunin lahat. Hahayaan mo ring magtira siya sa sarili niya,” he said.

According to him, “Mas masarap magkaron ng jowang matapang at may pagkatao kaysa sa jowang bahag ang buntot at susunod sunod lang sa’yo.”

The Unkabogable Star then wished them success and happiness in their relationship, as well as everyone else’s.
