Vice Ganda and Jessica Soho had this issue in the past

The past issue between Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda and veteran journalist Jessica Soho resurfaced and this received a reaction from talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz.

To recall, Vice mentioned Jessica during his concert in 2013. He joked about the journalist’s figure saying that if Jessica is a sultry actress, the scene would have become a “gang r@pe.”

Following this controversial joke from the comedian-host, Jessica released a statement emphasizing that r@pe is not a joke.

“I thank all those who shared my hurt and expressed their support, but this should not be about me but about rape victims who suffer tremendously from this terrible crime. The horrors they go through are unspeakable and should never be taken lightly, especially by way of a cruel joke,” a part of Jessica’s statement had this. The comedian-host apologized to the journalist.

Many years after that issue, people recalled what happened as Vice Ganda’s noontime show It’s Showtime is now airing on GMA in which Jessica Soho is one of the pillars of the news and current affairs department.

In a recent episode of Ogie’s Showbiz Update vlog, based on the article in Balita, he talked about the resurfacing of the issue between Vice and Jessica.

“Sa palagay ko lang, ‘no. Mula noong makatuntong si Vice Ganda at ang ‘It’s Showtime’ sa bakuran ng GMA […] e do’n na ‘yan naglabasan,” Ogie said.

His co-host Mama Loi said that it seemed that people were anticipating what would happen when Vice and Jessica met. “At kung ipe-feature ni Jessica Soho sa kaniyang ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ si Vice Ganda,” the showbiz insider added.

KMJS, the magazine show of the veteran journalist, has featured in the past some personalities who transferred from ABS-CBN to GMA or those who have projects with GMA.

Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin previously mentioned that Jessica Soho allegedly does not want to interview with Vice Ganda. This was also rumored in 2023.
