Vice Ganda Issue – News5 Apology Over “Fake News” Issue (ch)

News5 apologizes for wrong reporting about Vice Ganda and Marian Rivera’s “iringan”.

VICE GANDA – TV5’s News5 apologizes for the wrong reporting about the “iringan” of Vice Ganda and Marian Rivera which is not true.

Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda reacted to the report from News5 in a previous article. TV host Gretchen Ho, the news anchor of Frontline Sa Umaga, reported news implying that the Kapamilya star and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera have an issue and that their reunion in an event showed their reconciliation.

The Kapamilya superstar slammed the reporting expressing: Super kadiri yung mga balitang mema! Eeeooooowwwwww!!!! Clickbait???!!!! Fake news????!!!! TAE!

Such has created a loud buzz online. MJ Marfori reacted to this and clarified that it is not her story but the emoji showing hysterical laughing has triggered the comedian.

“I apologize. I was just surprised and caught off guard that I was tagged in the story. I didn’t mean to offend [white heart emoji],” MJ wrote as she expressed her apologies because it seems like her explanation with that emoji worsened the superstar’s already bad mood because of the report.

Vice and Marian did not have any conflict or misunderstanding because, as a matter of fact, the two are on good terms and for Vice, the Kapuso actress is the most beautiful for him.

And now, with the loud buzz the issue has created, News5 takes responsibility and just recently, the new program expressed its apology. The program apologized to all the involved personalities.

A statement from them said:

Humihingi ng paumanhin ang News5 sa mga personalidad na nasangkot sa maling ulat na inilabas sa showbiz segment ng programa kahapon na nagsasabing nagkaroon ng iringan sina Vice Ganda at Marian Rivera.

Gretchen, the one who reported, posted the erratum and assured the people that they will review internal processes so such incidents will never happen again. The Kapamilya star thanked her for this.

We issued an erratum this morning on #FrontlineSaUmaga for yesterday’s erroneous news report.

Rest assured, we are reviewing internal processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

Apologies to @vicegandako and Ms. Marian Rivera. We will do better. https://t.co/RJFuGd8Hby
