Cristy Fermin said that the It’s Showtime issue worsened because Vice Ganda refused to say sorry

Veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin said that Unkobagable Star Vice Ganda is just “tapang-tapangan” amid the current issue that the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime is currently facing.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) decided to suspend the noontime show for the Vice’s icing incident with his partner Ion Perez. ABS-CBN and It’s Showtime appealed but just recently, the board released a decision denying the show’s appeal.

Reportedly, the It’s Showtime suspension will take place next week, and allegedly a new show will temporarily replace the Kapamilya noontime show.

Based on the article in Bandera, Cristy Fermin shared her reaction to what happened to the Kapamilya noontime show. She said that the situation could have changed if only Vice Ganda chose humility.

To recall, in a previous statement, MTRCB chair Lala Moreno said that there is a possibility that the decision of the board may change if Vice and Ion apologized regarding the viral icing incident.

Cristy said that amid the issue, there was no “pakumbaba” coming from Vice and Ion’s camp. The veteran showbiz writer’s Showbiz Now Na co-host Wendell Alvarez mentioned that just like drag artist Pura Luka Vega flaunted bravery amid the issue, Vice is also “tapang-tapangan.”

Then, Cristy said, “Itong si Vice Ganda, ang tapang niya, ‘di ba. Sabihin, wala kaming ginawang kasalanan.” She commented that in real life, this is not the case. “Kung dudukutin po natin ang puso ni Vice Ganda, nandoon din po ‘yung pag-aalala at pagdadala ng problema. Kaya lang, gusto niyang ipakita sa tao na matapang siya, e,” Cristy Fermin said. Her other co-host Romel Chika said that this worsened the situation.
