Vice Ganda reacted to the sudden power outage at It’s Showtime studio
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda has this brownout “hugot” during the recent live airing of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.
The said noontime show is one of the shows of ABS-CBN that was retained amid the pandemic and despite the fact that the TV network was not able to renew its franchise. Through digital platforms and now TV5, avid viewers of the show continue to watch their favorite program.
Based on the article in Balita, during the September 26 episode of the show, a power outage suddenly happened. While hosting the segment Miss Q&A: Queen of the Multibeks Vice Ganda had to stop interviewing a candidate because of brownout.
As expected, the Unkabogable Star incorporated his humor in the situation. “Iba talaga ang ABS-CBN. Kung kailan paalis na ‘yung ulan, saka nawawalan ng kuryente,” Vice said.
The comedian-host also joked about the sold transmitter of ABS-CBN. “Change power kasi binenta yong transmitter kaya nag-change power. Change power so dati 110 kami, 220 na lang kami ngayon, extension pa,” he said and his co-hosts Jhong Hilario and Anne Curtis laughed.

Then, Vice had another “hugot.” “‘Yung antenna ng ABS, may tinidor na lang sa…” Vice Ganda said but was not able to continue what he was saying because he was prompted to end the segment in order for the personnel to fix the electrical problem in the studio.
After the commercial break, It’s Showtime’s programming continued without any technical problems anymore.
To recall, in one of the recent episodes of Willie Revillame’s Wowowin show on ALLTV, he thanked ABS-CBN for selling the transmitter to Advanced Media Broadcasting System, the media company of business tycoon Manny Villar. ALLTV is now occupying the frequencies previously assigned to the Kapamilya network.
