Vice Ganda, the “mommy” figure to Ryan Bang, was visibly emotional upon learning about Ryan’s engagement to his non-showbiz girlfriend, Paola Huyong.

The touching moment occurred on the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime,’ where the hosts, particularly Vice, shared in the heartfelt occasion.

Vice Ganda remarked on Ryan’s growth, saying he had transformed “from a baby to a man.”

Ryan shared that Vice was the first person he informed after the engagement. “Gusto ko ikaw ang unang nakakaalam,” Ryan said.

Vice jokingly responded, “Ano kaya kung hindi kita pinayagan, ano nangyari kaya sa’yo kagabi?”

Ryan expressed his confidence in his proposal, stating, “Wala akong kakaba-kaba. Alam ko namang magye-yes si Paola. Walang tatanggi kay Ryan. Hindi ka katanggi-tanggi. Wala akong nakikitang katanggi-tanggi sa’yo. Napakaganda mong tao. Swerte kayong dalawa ni Paola sa isa’t isa.”

Vice, holding back tears, added, “I had no worries. I knew Paola would say yes. There’s nothing to refuse about you. You’re a wonderful person. Both of you are lucky to have each other.”

Ryan thanked Vice, saying, “Thank you, you allowed me to propose kay Paola, and thank you, pinalaki mo ako sobrang buti. Maraming-maraming salamat.”

It was just yesterday that Ryan asked Paola to be his lifelong partner.
