“Kaming lahat, sa rami ng pinagdaanan namin, I believe that our team is strong enough to be able to battle all these negativities, all these challenges and threats together,” pahayag ni Vice Ganda.

On the 15th anniversary press conference of “It’s Showtime,” host Vice Ganda claimed that there is an ongoing “demolition job” against the show, amid a string of bashing and rumors hounding its hosts and the noontime show itself.

“Well, there really was, or there really is a demolition job against ‘It’s Showtime.’ But we are not going to say where this is coming from. What they are doing on social media, that’s a demolition job, right? The trolls are part of it, they have bad intentions, so that’s a demolition job,” he said.

Vice Ganda appeared to be referring to recent pregnancy rumors hounding “It’s Showtime” host Jackie Gonzaga, who was supposedly impregnated by fellow host Ion Perez. Incidentally, Perez is Vice Ganda’s partner. Gonzaga has already shut down the rumors as “fake news”.

Meanwhile, there are also reports claiming that the noontime show would end its run on GMA in December.

Despite this, Vice Ganda is confident the noontime show would “keep on going,” noting that a “demolition job” are mounted by people who want to

take down someone from a certain position.

“It could be that we were capable to be in a certain  position, and others may want to attain that kind of position. We have experienced it, so others want to have that kind of experience also, and to be able to do that, they need to go that route,” he said. “We just have to deal with it and we just have to keep on going.”

Noting the past struggles of the noontime show, Vice Ganda reiterated that the hosts and crew of “It’s Showtime” are strong enough to battle “these negativities,” as they are all united towards a common goal.

“It will be hard if we’re not united. We have to do this together because if we battle these hardships alone, we’ll be weak. We won’t succeed. That is the essence of the strength of this team. We are one, together, against and for everything.)

Launched in October 2009, “It’s Showtime” is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month, one of its activities includes the “Magpasikat” segment where its hosts will go up against each other in a talent competition.
